Automotive Technician – Field Service

An American electric vehicle manufacturing company is actively looking for a self-motivated Field Service Technician to join their team. This is a 6-month CT role with potential for extension or conversion. It is 100% onsite at their Denver, CO location and has multiple shift opportunities. Shifts include Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday 8pm-5am ( **night shift** ), and also Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site service, diagnosis, repairs, and installations for Rivian vehicles and related equipment.
Required Skills & Experience
+ **Level 1 Technician:** Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade (tire shop for example, motorcycle repair shop, but not cashier); no automotive specific training required
+ Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
+ Must possess a **valid driver’s license** , and maintain a clean driving record
+ Experience using a work order management system including repair documentation
+ Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
+ **Minimum age of 21**
+ **No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5year period)**
+ Ability to read and speak fluent English
+ MVR Required
Desired Skills & Experience
+ **Level 2 Technician:** 2-4 years of experience in an automotive specific environment with exposure to various repairs (usually an independent shop, or dealership -not only oil changes, or tires); automotive training preferred
+ **Level 3 Technician:** 5+ years of automotive experience, EV experience preferred
+ Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
+ 1 year experience working in an automotive repair shop preferred
+ Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities:
+ Ability to assist in daily Amazon EDV business operations often requested on ad hoc basis, including shuttling vehicles back and forth from delivery stations
+ Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, using a documented process, checklist, and guidelines
+ Document results (pass/fail)of pre-delivery inspections and communicate results to team members/supervisor
+ Follow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency without compromising quality and safety
+ Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
+ Assist and support vehicle repairs in a setting outside of a service center
+ Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair
+ Perform necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory
+ Maintain and process accurate expense reporting as needed
