Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.
About the** **Senior Payroll Administrator** **Position
The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for payroll processing bi-weekly, processing all off-cycle payroll runs including but not limited to the annual short-term and long-term incentive payrolls. This position audits additions and changes to the Workday payroll system related to salary, benefits, tax withholding, and withholding orders. The Senior Payroll Administrator supports the Benefits team in all leave administration.
What You Get to Do** **:
+ Administer all payroll functions and related duties on a day-to-day basis while adhering to federal, state, and local laws related to payroll.
+ Review all employee records and benefits changes made in Workday that are related to payroll.
+ Review and approve changes made by employees via self-service, including confirmation of direct deposit changes with employees to ensure there are no data breaches.
+ Support pre-hire, post-hire, and termination processes, including the review of offer letters & separation agreements, ensuring timely payment of any sign-on bonus or severance agreements.
+ Performs time entry audits and coordinates corrections and approval of time with time approvers each payday.
+ Validates retro pay process automatically calculated by Workday to ensure accuracy and make corrections if necessary.
+ Processes off-cycle payrolls & retroactive pay adjustments, including STI, LTI, Merit, and any additional off-cycle payroll runs.
+ Responsible for the electronic preparation & delivery to Treasury of all payrolls related funding and wire transfers.
+ Maintain a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records to ensure the availability of data and provide an audit trail.
+ Maintain leave tracking spreadsheet and enter time for short-term disability.
+ Provide recommendations for improved efficiencies in processes and audit controls.
+ Assists with the testing of systems changes related to payroll such as earnings codes, deduction codes, and payroll-related calculations.
What You Bring to the Table:
+ Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness, Accounting or related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education, such as an Associate’s Degree or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) with ideally 7 yearsof experience in Payroll.
+ Ideally, 5years of payroll experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
+ Experience with processing multi-state payrolls.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
