The role you’ll contribute:

The Polysomnographic Technologist will deliver safe and effective care, which is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the direction of a registered polysomnographic technologist and the clinical coordinator to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.

+ Reviews patient history, physical information, medications, procedure request and study protocol.

+ Explains procedure and orients patient to the sleep center.

+ Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary.

+ Apply electrodes and sensors per accepted standards.

+ Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.

+ Perform positive airway pressure mask fitting

+ Produces optimal recordings of EOG, EMG, EKG, SaO2, airflow, respiratory effort, CPAP and BIPAP.

Qualifications

What you will need?

+ Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies or successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and or nationally accredited educational facility

+ Must have CPR certification in Basic Life Support

+ RPSGT /RRT-SD Certification

+ BLS

+ Minimum of 6 months experience preferred

+ ACLS preferred
