Description
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk/Coordinator to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be assisting with various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, payable, and procurement. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing and processing invoices for various business lines.
• Support the funding request process on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with vendors for follow-ups and ensure smooth operations.
• Handle basic data entry tasks to aid both Accounts Receivable and Payable departments.
• Utilize the procurement system platform effectively to manage financial transactions.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to the invoicing process.
• Maintain and update the Microsoft Office Suite for various accounting functions.
• Perform bookkeeping functions as required.
• Oversee the accounts receivable process to ensure timely payment.
• Manage vendor relationships and handle any billing inquiries.
Requirements • Proficient in Data Entry tasks, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with Office Functions, including scheduling, documentation, and communication.
• Ability to handle Invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are correctly issued and recorded.
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking and managing incoming payments.
• Strong understanding of Finance principles and practices.
• Experience in Billing processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
• Ability to liaise with Vendors, fostering effective relationships and managing contracts.
• Experience in Procurement, including ordering office supplies and negotiating with suppliers.
• Proficiency in Bookkeeping Functions, including maintaining financial records and preparing reports.
• A Plus certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions, including financial reporting, taxation, and auditing.
• Knowledge of the Funding process, including securing funds and managing financial resources.
