This team has an established record of excellence and provides on the job training both in and outside of the operating room. The Vascular Program at Midstate Medical Center is equipped to handle highly complex vascular cases on a daily basis. *Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Role Scope * Hartford HealthCare's Midstate Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a very enthusiastic team in the Vascular Surgery Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including first assisting in the operating room, rounding, bedside procedures and consults. They will work in collaboration with a number of surgeons an be expected to perform the follow functions: * Perform Daily patient rounds and Implement therapeutic intervention * Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral or evaluation * Perform H&P and discharge summary for patients * Ordering diagnostic studies as part of clinical treatment plan * First assist surgeon in the OR * Perform and assist with bedside procedures * Display professional competency in the OR * Identify and provide teaching for patients, families, and other health care providers *SHIFT: PER DIEM* *Advanced Practitioners Enjoy* At Hartford HealthCare newly graduated and experienced providers are provided with the support and mentorship they need to succeed through on the job, classroom, and procedural training.
