Description
We are looking for a Sourcing Analyst to join our team in the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Sourcing Analyst, you will be heavily involved in data and reporting on a daily basis and will support projects and end-customers across diverse requests. This role requires a critical thinker who can extract insights from data and lead process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Extract large data sets from various sources, transforming and combining them as needed.
• Develop and maintain vendor scorecards, cost modeling, and KPI measurements.
• Support e-Procurement systems including GEP Fieldglass SAP, specifically with vendor and purchase requisitions support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide strategic recommendations, and ensure alignment on sourcing strategies.
• Create robust, visually appealing dashboards in Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and deliver engaging presentations and dynamic reports on key projects or data insights.
• Support indirect spend categories and sourcing operations.
• Refresh and improve existing Microsoft Excel-based dashboards using advanced Excel-based functions and Power Query.
• Support strategic sourcing events in accordance with sourcing methodology, including development of RFx documentation and other related procurement activities.
• Ensure procurement policy and process compliance.
• Field and answer questions from stakeholders, supporting and occasionally leading one-time project-based assignments.

Requirements • Proficient in Customer Service, demonstrating superior ability to resolve queries and issues.
• Outstanding Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear conveyance of information to different stakeholders.
• Experience in Documentation and Reporting, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and updated.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in data analysis and creating dashboards.
• Familiarity with Operations, including the ability to execute and manage various processes.
• Understanding of Policy and Compliance within the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing sector.
• Ability to deliver effective Presentations, sharing insights and strategies with the team.
• Familiarity with 'About Time' time management software, or similar tools.
• Finance acumen, specifically related to procurement and salary structures.
• Proficiency in Procurement, particularly in relation to buying processes and sourcing.
• Strong Communication Skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Data Analysis, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Ability to interact effectively with Stakeholders, understanding their needs and priorities.
• Familiarity with KPI Reporting, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators.
• Experience with SAP R/3, or similar ERP systems.
• Understanding of Buying Processes, with the ability to streamline and improve procurement practices.
• Familiarity with different Methodologies in sourcing and procurement.
• Experience in Collaborating with different teams, fostering a cooperative work environment.
• Strong Sourcing skills, with the ability to identify and secure high-quality suppliers.
• Excellent Decision-Making skills, with the ability to make informed choices that benefit the company.
• Ability to Create Dashboards, presenting data in a clear and concise manner.
• Understanding of Salary Structures, ensuring fair and competitive compensation.
