    Overview:

    A top-ranked research university is currently searching for a Grants & Contracts Specialist for one of its growing departments to perform Pre- and Post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts. Prepares, negotiates, and monitors grants, contracts, and budgets. If interested in joining this dynamic department, please apply!

    Responsibilities:

    + Performs pre- and post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts.

    + Prepares, negotiates, and monitors grants, contracts, and budgets.

    + Maintains award-related schedules, prepares complex government applications and reports, and interprets policy and procedure.

    + Monitors account activity, performs internal audits, resolves complex issues, and reviews routine financial documents.

    + Develops and implements accounting techniques and procedures for operational improvements, assists with managing special projects, and prepares operating budgets.

    + Will work with Industry Sponsors and Foundations.

    + Will prepare and meet regularly with faculty/supervisor to review financials.

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

    + Some knowledge of clinical trials and grants is highly preferred

    + At least two years of accounting, financial administration, and/or compliance is required

    + Strong attention to detail
