Overview:

INTECON is seeking a forward-thinking Technical Insertion Engineer to support the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan AFB. This role is part of a broader engineering services requirement to augment and advise AMARG's organic engineering team. The selected candidate will play a key role in applying innovative, state-of-the-art industry knowledge to enhance and optimize government industrial and engineering processes.

The overall support includes the execution of process orders, facilities engineering projects, industrial process control (IPC), and engineering change management in accordance with AFSCMAN 21-102_OO-ALCSUP, AFSCI 21-402, and related directives.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Advise and assist the government representative (GR) and AMARG stakeholders in optimizing industrial and engineering processes.

+ Apply advanced industry knowledge to improve government tools, systems, and workflows.

+ Gain familiarity with the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and support execution of SBIR initiatives.

+ Document technology transition activities using the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Technology Roadmap Tool.

+ Conduct research, perform data analysis, and support modernization efforts across engineering and production systems.

Clearance Requirements:

+ Active SECRET or Interim SECRET security clearance is required at the time of application.

+ Top Secret clearance is preferred and may be required for future tasking.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the engineering field.

+ Proven ability to perform research, technical analysis, and process improvement.

+ Strong interpersonal and analytical skills in support of mission-oriented innovation.

+ Familiarity with Air Force or Department of Defense (DoD) sustainment environments, depot operations, or advanced manufacturing.

+ Experience working with SBIR initiatives and understanding of government acquisition or technology transition processes.

+ Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, ISO 9001, OSHA, or similar quality/process improvement credentials are a plus.
