Operations Director

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a visionary and results-driven Operations Director to oversee programming at Hope Hall, part of our Behavioral Health & Reentry Services division. This is a senior leadership role focused on long-range planning, operational excellence, program development, and strategic innovation that directly impacts lives and restores communities.

We are looking for a mission-aligned leader who can manage complex systems, strengthen community partnerships, and elevate service delivery in a dynamic and evolving environment.

What You’ll Do:

+ Provide leadership and direction across all operational aspects of Behavioral Health & Reentry programs

+ Drive strategic planning, program development, and long-term goals

+ Oversee contract compliance, fiscal management, and policy implementation

+ Evaluate programs and client services to ensure effectiveness and innovation

+ Supervise and support staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and team development

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, service providers, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders

+ Support legislative awareness and advocacy efforts in collaboration with leadership

+ Conduct off-hour site visits, maintain compliance standards, and improve operational performance

+ Collaborate with the Program Director on budgeting, planning, and organizational alignment

What You Need:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (Master’s preferred)

+ Minimum 5 years senior-level supervisory/administrative experience

+ Proven expertise in budget management, community relations, and staff leadership

+ Strategic thinking with the ability to assess and improve systems and services

+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard data/reporting tools

+ Valid driver’s license and ability to meet VOA driving standards
