Modification Technician - Houston TX

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Houston TX. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Modify electric motors per customer specification.

+ Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.

+ Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues.

+ Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.

+ Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory.

+ Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Education:

+ High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

+ Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors.

+ Ability to handle manual and power tools.

+ Understand and follow safety procedures.

+ Familiar with modification procedures.

+ Familiar with the inventory control system.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office.

+ Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude.

Experience:

+ 0 - 5 years of related experience.
