Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Boynton Beach, Florida. As a part of our client's team, you will be tasked with overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions for a mid-sized manufacturing and project management company. Your role will be pivotal in managing the financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting functions.

• Manage the end-of-month closing process to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, inventory, and other financial accounts.

• Oversee the accounting for individual projects, tracking time, labor costs, and materials for accurate project cost and profitability reporting.

• Ensure accurate recognition of revenue in line with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

• Produce precise financial reports for management including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and project cost summaries.

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial transactions and processes.

• Manage and maintain accounting records within NetSuite or similar ERP systems, and provide process improvements and system upgrades as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, operations, and procurement teams to ensure financial data accurately reflects real-time project performance.

• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting and financial management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Proficiency in NetSuite software

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations

• Adept in Financial Reconciliation

• Proven track record in Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Project Accounting

• Understanding of Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Experience with Revenue Recognition

• Previous involvement in Annual Internal Audit is necessary.
