    Description

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Complete all equipment sterilization on a daily basis.

    + Maintain dental equipment inventory and supply control system as needed.

    + Dispense and receive dental instruments to/from faculty, staff, and students.

    + Deliver and pick up sterilization carts from the Comprehensive Care Units.

    + Practice proper PPE safety consistently.

    + General administrative duties as assigned.

    + Assisting students and faculty while treating live patients.

    + Ensuring the dental unit is stocked with supplies as determined by the Dental Assistant Supervisor and/or CCU Director.

    + Maintain suction lines, traps, and DUWL.

    + Inventory, Weekly Spore Tests, and any other sterilization duties as assigned.

    + ASDOH Dental Clinic and patient treatment.

    + Other Duties as Assigned

    Skills & Experience:

    + Dental Assistant and X-ray Certificate required.

    + 6-12 Months of experience chair-side assisting live patients.

    + Infection Control, HIPAA, and CPR training are required.

    + Axium or Dentrix experience preferred.

    + Experience with Steam autoclaves, Dishwashers, Handpiece maintenance system, Ultrasonic cleaner.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and phone).

    + Must be flexible and organized, able to change assignments with little direction.

    + Must work well independently and in a group environment.

    + Must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
