Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $134,000.00 - $159,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to take direct responsibility for the management of consumer payment products through all phases of the product life cycle, including but not limited to Debit Card and other consumer payment networks and mechanisms. This role involves actively managing a product P&L and delivering results that generate more than $40 million in revenue annually.
Essential Functions
+ Negotiate and monitor product sales goals, and oversee the preparation of product education materials, conduct coaching visits, and ensure the delivery of competitive, marketable products to the Retail Branch Network
+ Responsible for product pricing strategy, contract negotiation with strategic partners and overall product profitability
+ Oversee customer support functions, including escalated customer or product issues, conducting cost analysis, vendor reviews, implementing loss mitigation strategies, reviewing contact center calls, developing policies and procedures, and optimizing processes
+ Lead the product development function, oversee roadmap execution, research and feature development
+ Drive pricing strategy, contract negotiations and product profitability while ensuring compliance
+ Lead research initiatives in trend monitoring and business analysis to guide marketing strategies and optimize portfolio profitability and expenses
+ Research emerging trends, assess vender capabilities, and secure capital for technology investments
+ Define specific roadmaps and sponsor key technology projects to advance business objectives
+ Oversee card processing platforms, ensuring alignment with business needs and vendor strategies
+ Manage vendor relations and monitor operational performances to identify risks and collaborate with Legal, Compliance and audit teams
+ Provide ongoing oversight and development of relationships with Payment Networks and vendor processors
+ Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs
+ Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required
+ Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively
+ Support budget management, planning and expenditure
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
+ Strong knowledge of the card payments industry field, including knowledge of best practices
+ Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems
+ Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business
+ Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals
+ Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing
+ Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
+ Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in business and/or technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required
+ 8+ years payments experience in card payments industry required
+ 4+ years leadership/supervisory experience required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $134,000 to $159,500 annually.
