    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. As part of our interdisciplinary hospice team, you will help address the spiritual needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering peace, comfort, and dignity.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide spiritual counseling and support to patients, families, and caregivers in alignment with their individual beliefs and preferences.

    + Assess the spiritual needs of patients and families and develop a tailored plan of care.

    + Offer compassionate presence and guidance to those experiencing grief, loss, and emotional distress.

    + Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care that meets physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

    + Conduct or arrange for religious services, rites, or rituals as requested by patients or families.

    + Assist in bereavement support for families both during and after the hospice experience.

    + Document spiritual care activities in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

    Qualifications

    + Master’s degree in divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

    + Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group or denomination.

    + Experience in spiritual care, chaplaincy, or pastoral counseling, preferably in a hospice or healthcare setting.

    + Strong understanding of and respect for diverse cultural and religious traditions.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    + Board Certification (e.g., BCCI, APC, or equivalent).

    + Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training or equivalent experience.

    + Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life settings.
