    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Endoscopy Technician PRN at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting endoscopic procedures by preparing the room and equipment, assisting medical staff during procedures, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization post-procedure. This position is vital for maintaining high standards of patient care and safety in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare the room and equipment before endoscopic procedures.

    • Assist the Endoscopic Specialist in communicating supply needs.

     

    ,

     

    • Serve as the patient and family advocate by protecting confidential information.

     

    ,

     

    • Meet with patients to review forms and perform administrative duties.

     

    ,

     

    • Assist doctors and nurses during procedures, including collecting biopsy specimens and maintaining a sterile field.

    • Clean the room and sterilize used implements after procedures.

    ,What qualifications you will need:

    + High School Graduate / GED

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    + One year of acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
