Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Division in Dulles, VA specializes in the Integration, Test and Launch of the Space Systems for Commercial, DOD and NASA customers. Seeking a Level 2 Environmental Test Technician in support of a large Environmental Test Thermal Vacuum facility in the Space Industry. Will work with highly talented and motivated Technicians and Engineering staff. Will support setup and testing of complex tests in the Thermal Vacuum Test area among others. Position is for a technician seeking the ability to work hands on with complicated testing equipment in an environment that is dynamic and rewarding. Must be able to support 24/7/365 rotating 3 shift work schedule. Overtime is required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

+ A High School diploma with a minimum 2 years of work experience.

+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance

+ Dedicated, Energetic person with great people skills.

+ Ability to support the current 3 shift rotation and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Preferred Associate degree types – Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering

+ Knowledge or experience in general Environmental Testing preferably in a Space or Defense manufacturing environment.

+ Fundamental knowledge of computers and file systems.

This position, employees will be eligible for shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Salary Range: $24.00 - $29.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
