The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations to work on the UHealth Campus. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations works in conjunction with the Manager, Clinical Business Operations to oversee the prompt resolution of problems that arise in daily clinical operations and to implement and monitor policies and procedures for efficient, patient- and doctor-friendly clinical operations. Collaborates with other service areas in providing a consistent standard of service across the service line as a whole.
+ Evaluates all aspects of clinical operations, including coordination of staff, patient flow, and service delivery are efficient and comply with the appropriate policies and procedures.
+ Ensures appropriate training of employees. Provides effective guidance and direction to all support staff.
+ Evaluates and monitors job performance. Provides feedback, coaching and development to employees regarding their performance.
+ Recommends and institutes process improvements and modifications to ensure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and high‐quality manner.
+ Audits workflow; reviews, analyzes, and develops/revises routine operational procedures.
+ Maintains an in‐depth knowledge of the changing health care environment. Supports and implements programmatic initiatives for care improvement and cost reduction.
+ Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of clinical reimbursement and managed care issues.
+ Operates within budget guidelines.
+ Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on the controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
+ Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
+ Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
+ Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
+ Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
+ Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
+ Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
