Position Title: Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager

Type: Contract to Hire

Days/ Hours: Daytime / M-F

Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager is responsible for overseeing all information and manufacturing system operations across multiple shifts. This includes computer and network operations, troubleshooting, data control and security, software version control, service agreements, licensing, backup/recovery, and system performance.

Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to all operational locations (e.g., plants, feed mills, hatcheries) in the planning, direction, and monitoring of information and manufacturing systems operations. Assist in the review and selection of hardware, software, and applications.

+ System Planning and Implementation: Lead the planning and budgeting for system scope and specifications. Manage systems integrators and implementation schedules. Oversee quality assurance, test plans, training, and system startup. Manage the interface of software systems with plant equipment and information applications. Direct the CER process as required.

+ Problem Resolution: Take overall responsibility for identifying, prioritizing, and resolving reported computer system issues. Monitor and respond to complex technical hardware and software problems.

+ System Changes and Additions: Act as the primary point of contact for implementing complex-wide hardware, software, and application changes. Ensure that users adhere to system protocols to maintain data integrity, security, and recoverability.

+ Business Liaison: Maintain effective communication and relationships with all business levels, including Complex Managers, Finance, Manufacturing Systems, IT personnel, and floor staff.

Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager Education and Experience Requirements:

+ BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Management.

+ 4–6 years of relevant experience in microprocessor-based equipment, Microsoft products, voice/data network administration, data center operations (Unix), and database administration.
