Job Description
Job Summary:
Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience, to assist in analyzing portfolio analytics, asset allocation and investment holdings with advisor managed portfolios and make appropriate recommendations when warranted. Consult with financial advisors to build a relationship and understand their practice in order to tailor solutions related to the investment management of their advisor managed portfolios, including education and adoption of firm technology. Develops tactical plans and works independently on complex assignments that are broad in nature with latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Uses knowledge to have conversations with advisors on their use of Discretion including using analytical tools, software and methodologies to research investment products, asset allocation and comparative analysis on portfolios.
+ Listening, conversing and engaging with advisors in a professional manner.
+ Educate advisors on portfolio management and the proprietary technology available to support their practice.
+ Proactively contact financial advisors to discuss available resources related to investment management.
+ Maintain market and specific knowledge of internal products and platforms.
+ Contribute to team initiatives, such as developing advisor resources, evaluating existing processes and creating management reporting.
+ Assist with research and analytics used in white papers for financial advisor or client use.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
+ Maintain specific knowledge of investment research and portfolio construction related topics across firm and external partners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
+ Principles of banking, finance and securities industry operations.
+ Fundamental concepts, principals and practices of the securities industry and asset management products.
+ Principals of finance and broker/dealer operations.
+ Financial markets and products.
+ Portfolio construction, portfolio management and practice management related topics.
Skill in:
+ Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
+ Organizing, managing and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Preparing and delivering clear, convincing and professional presentations to small and large audiences.
+ Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
+ Analyzing business processes and identifying process improvement opportunities.
+ Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.
Ability to:
+ Represent the company in a highly professional manner.
+ Absorb and effectively communicate knowledge on complex investment offerings.
+ Organize, prioritize, and manage tasks and projects to complete work efficiently.
+ Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives and convince others to accept ideas or goals.
+ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external parties.
+ Assimilate and prioritize strategies into operational guidelines.
+ Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
+ Establish clear directions and priorities and address concerns or challenging questions when they arise
+ Effectively market the company and show resilience through the prospecting process
+ Identify problems, gather facts, and develop solutions
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of financial services industry experience.

+ Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.
Licenses/Certifications:
+ Appropriate series license(s) for assigned functional area preferred or the ability to obtain within an established timeframe.
+ SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
+ Required to have a Series 7, 9/10 or 24, and 66
+ Series 7 and 65 can be used instead of the 66
+ Applicable designation or CFP can be used instead of the 66 and must be in good standing
+ Additional licenses/certifications demonstrating the candidate’s knowledge/expertise in industry regulation and concepts preferred.
