    Job Responsibilities:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiasticChoir/Musical Director. The staff member will be responsible for leading and directing vocal ensembles, ensuring high-quality performances, and managing all aspects of the choir, including repertoire selection, rehearsals, and performances.

     

    Start Date: 2025-26 school yearStipend: $8,544 (2024-25 school year)

    Qualifications:

    + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    + Ability to motivate and mentor students in a positive and supportive manner

    + Prior experience directing choirs is preferrable

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Directing rehearsals, teaching vocal techniques, and conducting performances, ensuring the choir achieves musical excellence.

    + Choosing and preparing music suitable for the choir's abilities and the specific event or purpose.

    + Recruiting and managing choir members, including auditions and developing their musical skills.

    + Managing budgets, schedules, and other administrative tasks related to the choir..

    + Working with other staff, such as accompanists, vocal coaches, and instrumentalists, to create a cohesive and polished musical presentation.

    + Strong understanding of music theory, conducting techniques, and vocal pedagogy.

    + Adhere to all district policies and guidelines related to extracurricular activities.

    + ?Ability to inspire and motivate choir members, and to communicate effectively with staff and the public.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and projects efficiently.
