    The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board eligible or have specialty certification in nuclear medicine, either current American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification or a CAQ in nuclear radiology from the American Board of Radiology, and have completed a nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology ACGME-approved training program.

     

    Responsibilities may include performing and interpreting nuclear medicine stress tests, EKGs, evaluating and treating patients with therapeutic radio-pharmaceuticals and general nuclear medicine studies. Candidates must have extensive PET/CT experience.

     

    The successful candidate will also participate in shared after-hour and weekend coverage, case review series, and didactic lectures with residents and nuclear medicine imaging and therapy fellows.

     

    The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop research credentials. Instructors are provided with research and educational support to prepare them for an academic and/or clinical career. A specialized research focus may be developed in consultation with the division chief.

     

    Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
