    20007 – Technician II

     

    Location – West Point, GA

    PURPOSE:

    The Technician II will analyze and monitor MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and equipment across the Automotive Manufacturing plant (KIA Georgia).  Provide level 1 support in continuously supporting production at KIA Georgia and Glovis GGA.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Monitor and respond to problems with MES & Glovis GGA computer systems. This includes covering phone and radio calls from production and maintenance.

    + Complete periodic checklists regarding MES & Glovis GGA computer systems.

    + Promptly respond to and resolve issues and requests as they arise.

    + Work with other Analysts and other MES team members to resolve issues.

    + Escalate issues as per MES escalation standards

    + Work in both a control room and on the plant floor.

    + Work overtime as needed to support production as well as projects

    + Reconfigure and replace computers, scanners, and printers as they fail.

    + Attend some holidays and the summer shutdown period to perform preventative maintenance of computers and MES equipment throughout the plant.

    + Assist customers with installations and modifications regarding MES systems. This includes: computer installation, scanner installation and computer repair.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + High school graduate or equivalent

    + 2+ years of IT experience.

    + Strong computer troubleshooting, hardware, and software support

    + Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Web Browsers, and taking phone calls

    + Experience with building computers, imaging computers or installing Windows

    + Must be able to think analytically

    + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

    + Ability to work well in a team environment.

    + Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers.

    + CompTIA A+ preferred

    + Must be able to work shift rotation

     

    Pay Range - $20.85 - 29.81 per hour.
