    GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the management of assigned projects and programs and assisting with managing the business relationship with customers on assigned programs while cultivating future business opportunities as they become evident. Monitor all material and labor expenditures and coordinating efforts at the company level for all assigned programs and projects, to ensure program goals and objectives.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    + Ensure that deliveries meet contract requirements

    + Experience leading cross functional teams in proposal development for existing company contracts

    + Perform short- and long-range program planning to ensure that objectives are met

    + Prepare and distribute program status reports to meet internal and external customer requirements

    + Interface with customers and suppliers as necessary to build an effective program focused on common objectives

    + Conduct formal and informal reviews with customers on assigned programs to meet contract requirements

    + Coordinate with other departments to accomplish all program requirements

    + Keep company management informed of all issues, problems, and accomplishments on assigned programs

    + Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

    Other Job Functions

    + Work independently

    + Lead, train and mentor junior PMs

    + Other duties may be assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Required Experience:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

     

    Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

     

    Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

     

    Ability to adhere to workplace rules

     

    Ability to present thoughts, concepts, and program status before high-level customers, management and colleagues

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Successful candidate must possess one of the following: BS degree in Program Management and/or PMP certification, with 10 years of related management experience in defense aerospace electronics or 15 years of experience in defense aerospace electronics to include 10 years in a management position

    + Minimum of 8 years of experience in program/project management strongly desired

    + Experience developing and managing budgets strongly desired

    + MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required, MS Project experience

    + Working knowledge of contract negotiations

    + Working knowledge with defense markets, interfacing with DoD and prime contractor managers is strongly desired

    + Experience with technical disciplines to include but not limited to; RF design, digital design, software development

    + DoD MIL Standards and Specifications experience

    + AS9100 and ISO9000 experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Office environment

     

    Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

     

    Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

     

    Ability to travel , foreign and domestic
