Description
Management Resources is offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Dallas, Texas 75238. The primary function of this role is to transform accounting operations, establish financial controls, and assist with the migration of ERP systems (QuickBooks to Sage). The successful candidate will have a chance to grow into a managerial role, requiring strong leadership skills to build and mentor an accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily cash applications and check runs.
• Establish reporting and control mechanisms for consignment-based inventory processes.
• Lead the migration from QuickBooks to Sage, implementing robust accounting foundations.
• Support bank-required annual audit and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop financial and operational controls across accounting, payroll, and inventory functions.
• Manage month-end closes and create actionable financial reports.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action.
• Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks.
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally as a Senior Accountant.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation.
• Have solid experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex functions and create reports.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a requirement for this role.
• Experience with Sage Intacct will be considered a plus.
• Capable of preparing for audits and ensuring all financial records are accurate and in compliance.
• Leadership skills with prior experience building and mentoring teams.
• Driven, self-motivated individual who can establish processes and take initiative.
• Able to perform User Acceptance Testing and manage the audit of an ERP implementation.
