    Here’s What You Need

    + High school diploma or equivalent.One year of experience in substance abuse or as a patient care technician is required.Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification is required.Alternatively, an associate's degree in mental health or another healthcare-related field is required.

    + **_One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction is preferred._**

    + **BCLS** - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And **CPI** - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days Required And **AHAFA** - American Heart Association First Aid Certification must be maintained 90 Days Required

     

    What You Will Do** Therapeutic communication is key when interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff, all while exemplifying active listening and non-verbal communication elements. **Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee
