The outpatient infusion nurse has knowledge of Oncology, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venous access devices. The infusion nurse applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings.

+ Work Status and Shifts Available:

+ Per diem/On-call, Day

+ Positions specified as “on call/per diem” refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an “as needed basis” to fill in for staff vacancies.

Required Qualifications:

+ Nursing degree/diploma.

+ Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License

+ Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ Chemotherapy administration experience

+ Coursework/Training: 12 cancer-related CE's after hire or

+ Coursework/Training: OCN certification after hire.

+ 1 year Nursing

+ 1 year Oncology experience
