    Responsibilities

    The Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic Florida is seeking a distinguished physician to lead a program focused on **gastrointestinal (GI) nutrition, enteral and parenteral feeding** . This individual will drive innovation in clinical care, research, and education in the field of GI nutrition while collaborating across disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead and develop a comprehensive program in **GI nutrition, enteral and parenteral feeding** .

    + Provide expert clinical care in managing **complex nutritional disorders** , including malnutrition, intestinal failure, and metabolic disorders.

    + Establish and grow a research portfolio, ideally with **NIH or equivalent funding** , or be willing to actively pursue extramural funding opportunities.

    + Foster **multidisciplinary collaborations** across Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Surgery, and other related fields.

    + Mentor trainees, fellows, and junior faculty in the areas of clinical care and research.

    + Contribute to national and international efforts in advancing GI nutrition research and practice.

    Qualifications

    + **MD or equivalent degree** with board certification in **Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or another relevant field** with a focus on **gastrointestinal nutrition.**

    + Nationally recognized expertise in GI nutrition, enteral and parenteral feeding.

    + Strong record of **clinical excellence and academic scholarship** , including publications in high-impact journals.

    + Established track record of **independent or collaborative research** , ideally with NIH or equivalent funding or a strong commitment to seeking such funding.

    + Demonstrated leadership in clinical program development and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

    + Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
