    A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Tampa, FL.

    Responsibilities:

    + Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.

    + Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity

    + Oversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.

    + Perform any required testing for installed systems

    + Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards

    + Fill out daily reports including crew member’s hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities

    + Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers

    + Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.

    + Perform jobsite quality control checks.

    + Ensure quality assurance on all phases of work relating to spreading, rolling, compacting and patching asphalt to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, driveways, etc.

    Qualifications:

    + At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience

    + At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience

    + Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.

    + FDOT experience preferred but not required

    + Valid Driver’s License

    + Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.

    + Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs

    + Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work

    Certifications:

    + OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)

    + CPR Certification
