Patient Financial Services Representative – CMN Coordinator

+ Reviews prescriptions and progress notes for accuracy and compliance with durable medical equipment coverage guidelines.

+ Obtains prescriptions, certificates of medical necessity (CMN) and progress notes from physician’s offices and facilities.

+ Reviews reports of held revenue and prioritizes work to ensure timely billing of claims and reduction of bad debt.

+ Review patient records and submit renewal requests for certificates of medical necessity forms to physicians as needed.

+ Routine follow up required for all documentation requests sent.

+ Review all CMN forms for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.

+ Must make clear and accurate notes documenting all efforts to obtain CMN forms.

+ Review and log existing documentation to release revenue.

+ Maintain open communication with patients regarding status of needed documentation

+ Work collaboratively with other departments to create a smooth patient experience

Minimum Education Required

+ High School Diploma of Equivalent

Minimum Experience Required

+ Previous office experience in a healthcare setting preferred

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to use and apply excel formulas and functions.

+ Willingness to learn, attention to detail and good follow up skills
