Description
Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience for our Gaming Department. Experience in transactional and regulatory matters is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Draft and review a wide range of gaming applications nationally and internationally, including tribal agencies.
+ Prepare and assemble necessary personal and financial documentation needed for licensure.
+ Answer and prepare documents for gaming investigations in various jurisdictions where applicant is seeking licensure.
+ Communicate on an ongoing basis with gaming regulators and clients.
+ Draft petitions.
+ Prepare and file entity formation documents.
+ Prepare and file certain documents with the IRS.
+ Prepare and file State annual reports.
+ Research gaming requirements in various jurisdictions.
+ Review and prepare entity financial documents.
+ Review and prepare client Net Worth Statements based on financial documents provided.
Skills and Abilities
+ Previous law firm experience is a plus, but willing to train right candidate.
+ Able to work effectively with cross-functional business and legal teams.
+ Able to meet ongoing deadlines.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to establish working relationships with clients and team members.
+ Able to handle a high volume of work with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
+ Knowledge of basic financial documents.
+ Desire to learn and grow in the role.
+ Experience in Gaming is a plus.
+ Extensive Knowledge of Excel a plus.
Qualifications
+ BA or BS degree strongly preferred.
+ Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with two years of comparable work experience required.
+ Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests.
+ Achieve high level of productivity.
+ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are often necessary in carrying out job duties.
VISUAL ACUITY
Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
