    Job Overview:

    Monitors video EEG patients and identifies seizure activities. Perform neurophysiologic tests including EEGs and video-EEG initiation for adult and pediatric patients. Maintains data acquired from above-listed tests. Perform neurophysiologic tests including EEGs and video-EEG initiation for adult and pediatric patients.     Qualifications:

    Required:

    + HS Diploma

    + BLS certification required

    + EEG Board registration

    Preferred:

    + Certified in Video Monitoring preferred

    + Knowledge of neurodiagnostic tests preferred

    Scheduling Requirements:

    + Nights

    + PD

    Essential Functions:

    + The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG tests when requested by a physician.

    + As part of the testing process, an EEG Technician will gather a patient's medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for the procedure.

    + During testing, the EEG Technician monitors the patient's status and notes any abnormalities.

    + After testing is complete, the EEG Technician reports their findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.
