Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the retail industry, located in Bridgehampton, New York. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary role will be to process invoices, maintain accurate records, and oversee accounts payable activities.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain and update customer credit records accurately

• Handle invoice processing and data entry tasks

• Carry out account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy

• Conduct check runs and code invoices as part of accounts payable tasks

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required

• Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with retail industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role within the retail industry

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date

• Solid understanding and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with check runs, ensuring efficient and timely payments

• Experience in coding invoices, correctly assigning expenses to the appropriate cost centers

• High level of accuracy and efficiency in data entry tasks

• Proficient in invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are correctly processed, approved, and paid

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and reporting purposes
