    Bombardier has an exciting opportunity available for a Facilities Supervisor based in Tucson, AZ.

     

    + Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules – must be in all job descriptions

    1. Maintenance Oversight:

    o Supervise maintenance staff and contractors.

    o Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for various equipment and systems.

    o Ensure timely repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.

    o Maintain records of maintenance activities.

    2. Safety and Compliance:

    o Enforce OSHA safety regulations.

    o Conduct safety training for employees.

    o Oversee equipment inspections (cranes, hoists, electrical systems, etc.).

    o Manage fall protection measures.

    o Ensure compliance with hazardous waste removal and disposal regulations (DOT certification).

    3. Facilities Management:

    o Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the site.

    o Monitor environmental compliance (e.g., Hazwopper, RCRA).

    o Provide EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) training.

    o Manage crane certifications and other equipment certifications.

    o Oversee plumbing, AC/heating, and breathing air systems.

    4. Vendor and Contract Management:

    o Monitor existing contracts (GDI, ISI, Crown).

    o Review purchase orders and credit card transactions related to maintenance.

    o Coordinate vendor repair outsourcing.

    5. Specialized Knowledge:

    o Understand hydraulics, pneudraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

    o Familiarity with vehicle repair and inspection requirements (e.g., golf carts, tow motors, forklifts).

    o Knowledge of aircraft ground support equipment and FAA inspection regulations.

    o Working knowledge of machine shop equipment (five-axis mills, Bridgeport mills).

    6. Emergency Preparedness:

    o Understand fire system regulations.

    o Handle hazardous spills during plant emergencies.

    o Manage oil/water separators and mud pits.

    o Coordinate waste oil and tire removal.

    7. Budgeting and Resource Management:

    o Manage maintenance budgets.

    o Optimize material resources.

    o Ensure cost-effective repairs and maintenance.

     

    How to thrive in this role?

     

    • You typically have a minimum of 5 years of Experience in facilities maintenance

    • You typically have a minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + You are proficient in Safety and Compliance:

    + You can implement and enforce OSHA safety regulations.

    + You understand budgeting and Resource Management:

    + You can develop and manage maintenance budgets.
