License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching certification required.Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Three years of successful teaching experience required. Experience delivering professional learning opportunities and experiences working across curriculum areas preferred.Skills Qualifications: Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects concurrently; ability to create and deliver professional learning that supports the direction of the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education program; strong communication skills, both in oral and written format; knowledge and application of research-based instructional strategies; ability to work successfully with colleagues; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; and ability to effect change.Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for professional learning development and delivery, data collection and evaluation, and various tasks that support the development, revision, and implementation of a cohesive Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education program for instruction and assessment of the district's Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS)1. Develop and implement professional learning initiatives.
+ Develop professional learning plans consistent with philosophy, goals, objectives, and needs of the district and the Academies and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (ACTAE) office.
+ Implement professional learning based on needs identified by the ACTAE office and principals, assistant principals, department chairs, and other appropriate personnel.
+ Provide professional learning and coaching with the use of digital content, varied instructional delivery methods (face-to-face, online, blended learning) and collaborative learning networks to enhance student achievement.
2. Develop curriculum designed to support the Academies and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education office.
+ Assist in the development of lesson plans, instructional calendars, coaching cycles, interventions, extensions, and assessments for the Academies and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education office.
+ Facilitate and model Teaching and Learning division initiatives.
+ Utilize data to identify strengths and areas of need in student learning and teacher support in Academies and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education.
+ Work across curriculum areas to develop innovative programs that support high-quality, tier I instruction that supports the growth of each and every student, including multilingual learners, special education students, and gifted students.
3. Support local schools in the district.
+ Provide support to Local School Plans for Improvement (LSPI) as applicable to Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education and integration of academics.
+ Provide support and assistance (i.e. coaching cycle, professional development planning) to principals, assistant principals, department chairs, and other appropriate personnel who are creating and implementing professional learning opportunities to for ACTAE teachers.
+ Use data and observations to provide professional development and coaching with the use of digital content, varied instructional delivery methods (face-to-face, online, blended learning) and Collaborative Learning Teams to enhance student achievement.
4. Communicate to various internal and external audiences concerning program research and information.
+ Interpret district and program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences, including district and local school advisory boards.
+ Provide information to appropriate personnel regarding current research, knowledge, and trends, including data dashboards and any program analysis.
+ Maintain coherence when communicating within the department and division to support the mission of Gwinnett County Public Schools.
5. Provide student and teacher support as identified in Gwinnett County Public Schools strategic initiatives and priorities.
+ Manage and promote student programs, including instructional resources, Career Technical Student Organizations, facility and equipment needs, and district-wide advisory boards.
+ Identify resources and supports to assist teachers with differentiation to meet all students? needs in the CTAE programs.
+ Work in collaboration with other departments to maximize teacher effectiveness as it relates to CTAE curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
+ Model instruction in classrooms and professional development as appropriate.
6. Additional Responsibilities
+ Demonstrate a flexible, adaptive, and responsive approach to the needs of GCPS and the students, educators, school organizations, and communities that it serves.
+ Convey a positive and professional image to staff and public.
+ Engage in continual learning to deepen knowledge and understanding of current and emerging trends, technologies, laws, and requirements related to CTAE.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time.
