    Per Diem Producer

     

    The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC & WQXR is seeking a Per Diem Producer to join our team and support the execution of live public programming and rental events. The Greene Space serves as the live embodiment of WNYC and WQXR award-winning content.

     

    This role will play a part in liaising with internal content teams on limited programming and supporting the venue’s rental programming and venue operations. This includes working closely with external clients, managing event logistics, ensuring technical and operational resources are in place, and collaborating with production and administrative teams to ensure seamless execution of both in-house and external rentals events.

     

    Candidates must have strong production experience, administrative expertise, and a proven ability to balance competing deadlines while maintaining a positive, team-oriented mindset.

    Responsibilities:

    + Work closely with Live Events and Rentals Producer on administrative and logistical tasks in the lead up to both in-house and external rental events.

    + Facilitate coordination of in-house and rental events, including liaising with clients to ensure their needs are met.

    + Collaborate with editorial and content teams to ensure their events are appropriately staffed and resourced.

    + Produce and execute run-of-shows for live events in collaboration with production partners and clients.

    + Support rental clients show concepts, and manage and maintain production schedules.

    + Oversee production of live events for both public and rental programming to create impactful in-person and digital experiences.

    + Ensure proper staffing, technical support, and other operational needs are met for rental events.

    + Maintain professional communication with both internal and external partners.

    + Participate in production meetings including on-site visits for production partners and prospective clients.

    + Serve as director and stage manager for rental and internal events, coordinating team efforts and marshaling necessary resources.

    + Manage front-of-house operations including security, box office, and bar during events.

    + Maintain and manage inventory of supplies and bar stock.

    + PT production is a possibility; fluency with audio editing a plus.

    Requirements:

    + 3+ years of production experience, with demonstrated expertise in operational and administrative oversight of live events.

    + Experience managing event logistics, including scheduling, contracting, and client communication, preferably in a rental or performing arts venue context.

    + Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

    + High EQ and interpersonal skills, adept at working with diverse teams, talent, and clients.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Familiarity with performing arts, music, culture, and news.

    + Experience working in a media or performing arts organization preferred.

    + PT production skills a plus

     

    Additional Information

     

    Compensation range: $42.0204 to $50 per hour.

     

    This role is based in New York City and is expected to work onsite at New York Public Radio’s SoHo headquarters during live programs.

     

    This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between New York Public Radio and SAG-AFTRA.
