    Description

    FHN Financial is a broker-dealer that works with over 5,000 institutional customers, including one-quarter of all US Banks. The Accounting Rep will work closely to manage Accounts Payables, maintain daily schedules and reports, assist the Accounting Department to efficiently meet all reporting requirements and projects as needed. The position is based in our home office of Memphis Tennessee.

     

    **Primary Responsibilities** :

    + Manage Accounts Payable—Receive invoices from vendors and submit them for approval and payment. Correspond with vendors, staff, and management on the status of payments and payment requests. Ensure invoices are received, approved, and processed in a timely manner.

    + Reconcile various general ledger accounts to supporting documentation.

    + Maintain daily schedules/reports; prepare required general ledger entries.

    + Assist other Accounting Department personnel in preparing schedules and required regulatory reports.

    + Work with Accounting department personnel to cross-train in order to seamlessly and efficiently meet reporting requirements as needed.

    + Work with Accounting department personnel on other projects as needed.

    **Desired Qualifications** :

    + Undergraduate degree in Accounting - advanced degree in Accounting or Finance Related field is preferred.

    + 1-3 years' experience in an Accounting position, preferably in Banking and Finance.

    + Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office functions.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills.

    + The ability to work both independently and as a vital team member, contributing to a unified goal.
