We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for one of our clients in New York City.     Position Overview:

    The Accounting Clerk will have responsibilities across accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger functions. A strong proficiency in QuickBooks and 1+ year of relevant experience is required to excel in this role. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    + Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors (AP).

    + Track incoming payments, post deposits, and reconcile receivables (AR).

    + Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

    + Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes.

    + Support the accounting department with administrative tasks as needed.

    + Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve payment or billing discrepancies.

    Requirements

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, focusing on accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    + Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and reconciliation tasks.

    + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

    + Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
