Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Salary Range: $53,360 - $66,700 (with consideration up to $70,000 for highly qualified candidates)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for a multi-state organization with 300+ employees. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with all relevant regulations, and effective use of ADP Workforce Now. The ideal candidate will have hands-on payroll experience, particularly in a high-volume and multi-state environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Administration
+ Own the end-to-end payroll process for 300+ employees on a bi-weekly schedule
+ Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations, deductions, and withholdings (federal, state, and local taxes)
+ Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and reporting
+ Conduct regular payroll audits and resolve discrepancies efficiently
+ Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, garnishments, and tax filings
+ Partner with HR and Finance teams to support payroll-related initiatives and ensure data integrity
System & Process Management
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll within the ADP system
+ Identify and implement process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and system updates
Reporting & Documentation
+ Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders as needed
+ Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and documentation
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
+ 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably for a company with 300+ employees
+ Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
+ Familiarity with multi-state payroll regulations and tax compliance
+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills
+ Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and discretion
