Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role will involve managing critical aspects of financial processes, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and providing essential support to the overall accounting function.

Responsibilities:

+ Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely.

+ Ensure proper coding and documentation for invoices and expense reports.

+ Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial accounts.

+ Monitor and resolve discrepancies in vendor and client accounts.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to track and maintain budget accuracy.

+ Prepare financial reports related to account activity (e.g., aging reports, account balances).

+ Assist with audits by gathering and organizing required documentation.

+ Maintain financial records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

+ Support month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Communicate with vendors and clients to address payment issues or inquiries.

Requirements

+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

+ 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.

+ Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger principles.

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar tools).

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities effectively.
