• Principal Technical Accountant

    Description

    We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Technical Accountant to lead the company's technical accounting efforts. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant financial reporting standards. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, supporting complex accounting issues, driving accounting policy development, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as a technical accounting expert, offering guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions.

    • Conduct comprehensive research and interpretation of existing and new accounting standards (GAAP), and devise strategies for their implementation.

    • Deliver training on complex and evolving accounting standards to the wider accounting team.

    • Lead the crafting and review of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and in line with relevant accounting standards.

    • Supervise the creation of regulatory reports and filings, including tax-related documents.

    • Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements and other regulatory mandates within the company's financial reporting processes.

    • Spearhead major technical accounting projects.

    • Develop and uphold robust internal controls to guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting.

    • Address audit findings and implement necessary corrective actions.

    • Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to fulfill responsibilities effectively.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in Bank Reconciliations

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

    • Experience in Month End Close processes

    • Familiarity with NetSuite software

    • Proficiency in Oracle

    • Demonstrated knowledge in SAP
