The **O** **r** **t** **hopedic Physician** will provide services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service in Wewoka, OK. The Physician shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

     

    The Wewoka Indian Health Center provides “outpatient services in general medicine, medical imaging (including onsite mammography), audiology, pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, asthma clinic, counseling for emotional problems, and nutrition counseling.” For a more details on the services, clinics, and outreach programs provided, visit https://www.ihs.gov/oklahomacity/healthcarefacilities/wewoka/

    Responsibilities

    Position details:

    + 1099, rate $180-190/hour

    + Part-time, 1 day per week (Wednesdays preferred)

    + Hours: 8am-4:30pm

    + Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance

    Responsibilities:

    + Scope of services shall include fluid aspiration of joints, casting, general examinations, diagnosis, joint injections (knee, shoulder, hand, etc.) and treatment plans with recommendations for all patients seen.

    + Full utilization of the RPMS Electronic Health Record (EHR) and notification systems to communicate with the nursing and medical providers at the Wewoka Service Unit. The notification system is set up to provide continuity of care for the patients.

    + Appropriate documentation of services, education and treatment of patients in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

    + Provide consultative reports at the time of examinations in the EHR.

    + Responsible for actions necessary for Joint Commission standard compliance and administrative policies as directed.

    Qualifications

    + Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice Orthopedic medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

    + Board Certified in Orthopedics.

    + 5 years of experience as an Orthopedic Physician.

    + Active DEA license.

     

    Estimated Salary/Wage

     

    USD $180.00/Hr. Up to USD $190.00/Hr.
