The position reports directly to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor and will be involved with the installation, maintenance, repair, rebuild, and/or replacement of heavy-duty equipment (HDE), crushing equipment, buildings, machinery, operation, and efficiency of the fuel truck, etc. Will be an asset within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) culture, along with practicing WCM techniques and principles.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

+ Complete electrical PMs as required

+ Troubleshooting of electrical components, including motors and vibrators

+ HVAC knowledge and repair.

+ Maintenance of lighting for RR crossing, as well as highway crossings

+ Responsible for maintaining all electrical apparatus for the mine.

+ Familiar with both AC and DC 12 and 24-volt circuits.

+ Installation of the basic electrical system

+ Calibrate and test the belt scale

+ Maintain an off-road heavy equipment fleet

+ Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of schematics and equipment service manuals

+ Able to lift 100 lbs

+ Work in adverse weather conditions

+ Able to crawl under equipment for repairs and enter confined spaces

+ Knowledge and use of welding machines & torches

+ Operation and care of the fuel truck

+ Complete 60 Seconds to Think, Work Permits, SMAT & EMAT audits, and Safety Trainings

+ Maintain excellent 5S standards of the area

+ Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and perform LOTO as required

+ Be willing to help cover for vacations, weekends, Holidays, shutdowns, on call

+ Be willing to work holidays as scheduled

+ May require working in adverse weather conditions

+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs

+ Participate in team WCM events/activities

+ Maintain safety awareness while operating around mobile equipment

+ Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

+ High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
