The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Agency Finance & Operations Division is looking for a Grants Specialist Coordinator to join our team. You will coordinate state and federal grants, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating communication between grantee organizations and the Grant Services Team. you will also assist with developing request for proposals (RFP’s) and other grant materials, by managing the competitive processes, overseeing timelines, and conducting review of application material.
Minimum Qualifications
Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.
Minimum of four (4) Years of experience as a grant specialist senior or its equivalent, which shows an expertise in State of Minnesota and federal grant making.
A master’s degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience on the development and processing of request for proposals for competitive grants.
+ Developing request for proposals for competitive grants funded by the State of MN and the federal government
+ Project Management Certification (CAPM of PMP)
+ Experience with interpreting complex state and federal rules, regulations, polices, and laws regarding grants
+ Excellent Customer Service Skills, including conflict resolution skills
+ The ability to lead and innovate grant processes
+ The ability to present to large audiences
+ Experience on federal capital grant management including providing technical assistance and guidance to the grantees
