    The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is currently looking for a Finance Manager to support our Finance and Global Business Services (FGBS) organization. This Finance Manager will be a trusted finance business partner working closely with various Finance stakeholders to solve complex problems that directly impact the FGBS organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and they will be a creative and analytical problem solver with the opportunity to “Work Hard. Have Fun.     Key job responsibilities

     

    Support the FGBS month end close and planning processes (OP1, OP2, and quarterly guidance)

     

    Establish strong relationships across the FGBS and Central FP&A community and specifically with key business partners

     

    Own end-to-end key financial processes and be a thought leader to drive continuous improvement, simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions

     

    Manage and develop scalable financial tools or reports that align and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes

     

    Analyze and prepare monthly variance reports for senior leadership

     

    Provide business support to various finance teams by providing data driven insights into variances and trends

     

    Analyze trends, formulate projections, and evaluate savings initiatives

     

    Present findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

     

    - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

     

    - Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

     

    - MBA, or CPA

     

    - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

     

    - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
