Robert Half has partnered with a stable, distributor on their search for an Accounting Manager with experience supervising direct & indirect tax provisions and filings. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting and tax functions, reviewing fixed asset reconciliation, creating budgets, analyzing monthly P& L developments, managing monthly tax returns, processing reimbursements, assisting with month end close, drafting journal entries, preparing monthly financial statements, and overseeing the accounting team. This role is pivotal in supporting financial health and growth, providing variance analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP, identifying opportunities for process automation, and setting clear goals and expectations for the financial services department. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.

What you get to work on daily

• Oversee all aspects of financial services, including accounting, budgeting, and taxes

• Coordinate with external auditors for audits and tax filings

• Manage accounts payable/receivable

• Lead a team of accounting professionals, encouraging growth and efficiency

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing

• Prepare monthly management financial reports/statements

• Analyze financial trends and data to support strategic decision-making

• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Manager MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:

• 5-10 years of accounting experience required

• Strong MS Excel a MUST

• Tax Supervisory expertise

• SQL experience is preferred

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• High attention to detail and deadlines
