Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Generalist to lead payroll operations for a fast-paced organization in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires a strong background in payroll administration and payroll compliance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex payroll systems and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, including biweekly and weekly payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Administer 401(k) and RRSP plans, ensuring proper contributions and adherence to relevant guidelines.
• Handle payroll tax filings, remittances, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage and optimize Workday ERP and HRIS systems for payroll and benefits functions.
• Ensure seamless execution of payroll for Canadian employees, adhering to country-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with the benefits team to support employee benefit programs and resolve related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and generate necessary reports for audits and financial analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to payroll staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements • Proven experience in payroll management, including biweekly, weekly, and Canadian payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of 401(k) and RRSP administration and related compliance requirements.
• Expertise in payroll tax regulations and filing processes at federal, state, and local levels.
• Proficiency with Workday ERP and HRIS systems.
• Familiarity with managing employee benefits and payroll-related inquiries.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex payroll operations.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring and guiding teams.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements in payroll administration.
