    Job Title: Structural Engineer

    Job Description

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for structural analysis (static or response spectra) for seismic and other load combinations per plant criteria. You will work on equipment and piping supports, building structural frames, foundations, and piping or pipe support analysis per ASME Section III or B31.1 design standards. Your expertise in lifting assembly, rigging, crane designs, AISC steel and ACI concrete design codes, and component stress analysis (using GTSTRUDL or ANSYS) will be crucial. Additionally, you will conduct plant impact reviews and evaluations, assess existing structures, and develop retrofit type designs.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform structural analysis (static or response spectra) for seismic and other load combinations per plant criteria

    + Design equipment and piping supports

    + Develop building structural frames and foundations

    + Conduct piping or pipe support analysis per ASME Section III or B31.1 design standards

    + Create lifting assembly, rigging, and crane designs

    + Apply AISC steel and ACI concrete design codes

    + Conduct component stress analysis using GTSTRUDL or ANSYS

    + Perform plant impact reviews and evaluations

    + Assess existing structures and develop retrofit type designs

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 1 year experience in design and analysis for Nuclear Power Plants, Industrial Facilities, or relevant projects within steel and/or concrete

    + BS degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from a US-accredited college

    + US citizen or permanent resident (required for Nuclear/Export Control Account)

    + Ideally 3.5+ years of experience working on relevant projects

    + Experience with steel (ideal) and/or concrete (secondary) projects

    + Structural design and analysis

    + Proficiency with AISC, ASCE, and ACI design codes

    + Experience with structural dynamics and seismic analysis

    + Proficiency in MathCAD

    + Strong communication skills

    + Ability to write reports, perform calculations, and create drawings and specifications

    Work Environment

    + This role can be based in our offices in Naperville, IL, or Atlanta, GA, with a 100% remote option available for candidates with the right experience, background , and fit. Even for remote work, candidates closer to one of our offices or project locations are preferred. Remote candidates must reside within the EST or CST time zones. Preferred remote locations include IL, GA, MS (office locations), or client areas such as NC, SC, FL, LA, AK.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
