    Job Description:

    What You'll Do

     

    Executes testing across DFS business units for adherence to Federal and State regulatory requirements, and assists the manager in leading the Compliance Review. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

    How You'll Do It

    + Inspects documents, records, disclosures, systems and reports to verify compliance and identify trends or weaknesses in DFS business processes.

    + Brings issues to attention of compliance and business management.

    + Evaluates business policy, procedure, training and processes with respect to regulatory requirements.

    + Executes enterprise-wide compliance testing program.

    + Compiles and maintains work papers and supporting documentation of tests and findings.

    + Monitors and tests business action plans established to correct deficiencies.

     

    Qualifications You'll Need

    The Basics:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance, Law, or related field.

    + 4+ years of Compliance, Financial Services, Risk and/or BSA/AML experience.

    + In Lieu of Education, 6+ years of Testing, Quality Assurance, and/or Audit experience.

    + Primarily remain in a stationary position.

    + Ability to operate office equipment such as but not limited to computer, telephone, printer, and calculator.

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    + 6+ years of Testing, Quality Assurance, and/or Audit experience.

    + **4+ years:**

    + • Models, champions, and reinforces a risk culture of compliance andtransparency.• Applies general understanding of risk identification and assessmentprocesses, tools and techniques to provide oversight and challengeto risk measurement activities.• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of compliance lawsand regulations.• Demonstrates knowledge of the Compliance Management Systemcomponents related to:◦ Policies and procedures, and clear communication of intendedprocedural expectations and process.◦ Governance and reporting processes that provides a mechanismto identify, manage and escalate risks according to theorganization's risk appetite.◦ Evaluation of and/or challenges processes, new/existing productsor services, regulatory changes, customer communications, and/ortechnologies to ensure Compliance risks are identified and mitigated.◦ Identification and escalation of compliance risk management issuesin a timely and effective manner, including ability to manage,monitor, and report on issues and development of action plans.◦ Risk monitoring and testing activities to determine whetherregulatory requirements are being adhered to and/or Controls areoperating effectively.◦ Identification of regulatory risks and adequate risk mitigants, aswell as effectively challenging assessment of controls to prevent,detect, and correct errors.◦ Handling of complaints, evaluating business initiatives and providingresearch on potential regulatory impacts.◦ Due diligence on new and existing Third-Party engagementscommensurate with the level of compliance risk involved in theservices being provided.◦ Comprehensive, risk-based Compliance training specifically tailoredto job roles and responsibilities.

    + **4+ years:**

    + • Effective communication (written and verbal) that includes corecomponents of active listening, persuasiveness, collaboration, andconciseness when meeting with and presenting to peers, variouslevels of leadership and other lines of business.• Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meetshared objectives.• Optimizes work processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

    + Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist.

    Compensation:

    The base pay for this position generally ranges between $67,000.00 to $113,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
