    Career Progression

    Qualified candidates will be placed into the appropriate level based on experience:

    + **CRT:** $24.66 – $42.57

    + **RRT:** $27.08 – $46.81

    + **Senior RRT:** $29.05 – $50.28

    Your Responsibilities

    + Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

    + Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration devices, and aerosol generators.

    + Perform pulmonary function tests and assist patients with bronchopulmonary drainage and breathing exercises.

    + Monitor vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry to optimize patient outcomes.

    + Assist in mechanically ventilated patient transport and respond to all code situations.

    + Interpret clinical data to evaluate medical orders and ensure appropriate treatment.

    + Educate and supervise students and healthcare personnel on respiratory care procedures.

    + Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required.

    + Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.

    + Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required prior to expiration of temporary practice permit

    + Respiratory therapists who receive their CRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirements

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)

    + Osteopathic Respiratory Care

    + Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP)

    + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
