Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a RANGE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1134000 and is part of the NC 139th REG, National Guard (139th Regiment / Manning Doc 1930-026). Responsibilities As a RANGE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9, you will oversee range activities as directed by the Range Control Manager; apply and enforce the Installation Range Safety Program; ensure that adequate numbers of fully trained personnel are scheduled to support range operations and the communications center; conduct and prepare installation capability briefings and tours as directed by the Range Control Officer; oversee the work effort of employees who are involved in supporting the maintenance, operations, and communications center; assume the duties of the Range Control Manager in the absence of the incumbent. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted (E6 to E7) Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
